01Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Excellence Tutor ("we", "us", "the platform"), a tuition media operating in Bangladesh from Mirpur DOHS, Dhaka 1216, Bangladesh. By creating an account, posting a tuition request, applying for a tuition job or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be announced on this page and, where we hold your contact details, by email or SMS. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

02What Excellence Tutor is — and is not

We are an introduction and matching service. We help guardians and students find tutors, and help tutors find tuition work. We verify identity and educational claims to the standard described below, and we facilitate demo classes and introductions.

We are not an employer, an employment agency in the statutory sense, or a party to the tuition contract. The teaching arrangement — the schedule, the syllabus, the monthly salary and its payment — is agreed directly between the guardian and the tutor. We do not pay tutor salaries, we do not collect tuition fees on anyone's behalf, and we take no commission from the salary agreed between the two parties.

In plain terms: we introduce and we verify. What happens in the classroom, and the money that changes hands there, is between the guardian and the tutor.

03Who may use the platform

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. A guardian may create an account on behalf of a student under 18.
• Tutors must hold a valid Bangladeshi National ID (NID) or birth registration with a supporting institutional ID, and must be genuinely enrolled in or graduated from the institution they claim.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. One person may hold one account only.
• You may not use the platform if we have previously suspended or removed your account, unless we have agreed in writing that you may return.

04Your account and your responsibilities

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your password confidential and telling us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

You agree that the information you provide — your name, phone number, institution, subjects, areas, expected salary and any documents you upload — is true and belongs to you. Uploading another person's National ID, certificate or photograph is grounds for immediate and permanent removal.

05Verification, and what the badge means

Before a tutor profile is published we check the National ID against the name on the profile, we check a student ID card or degree certificate against the institution claimed, and we confirm the mobile number. A profile that passes these checks carries a Verified badge.

The Verified badge means those three checks were completed. It is not a guarantee of teaching quality, punctuality, character, or of any outcome in an examination. Guardians should still take the free demo class and use their own judgement before confirming a tutor.

We re-check a profile whenever a credible report is made against it, and we remove the badge immediately if a document turns out to be false.

06Charges and payment

• Use of the platform is free for guardians and students. There is no posting fee and no commission on the tuition salary.
• Tutors may register, browse and apply for free. A one-time confirmation charge becomes payable only after a tuition has been confirmed and the first month's salary agreed with the guardian.
• The current confirmation charge and the official payment numbers are published on our charges page. We will never ask you to send money to a number that is not published there.
• Payments are made by mobile wallet transfer and reconciled manually against the transaction ID you supply. Keep your confirmation SMS until we have acknowledged receipt.
• We may change our charges. Changes take effect only for tuitions confirmed after the new rate is published.

07Prohibited conduct

You must not use the platform to do any of the following.

• Post false, misleading or duplicated tuition requirements, or requirements you do not genuinely intend to fill.
• Impersonate another person, or upload documents or photographs that are not your own.
• Bypass the platform in order to avoid the confirmation charge after being introduced through us.
• Request or offer any payment outside our published charges, including 'security deposits' or advance payments between guardians and tutors.
• Harass, threaten, or send unsolicited commercial messages to any other user.
• Scrape, copy or republish tutor profiles, guardian contact details or tuition listings.
• Use the platform for anything unlawful, or in a way that damages, disables or overburdens it.

We may suspend or permanently remove any account that breaches these rules, without refund of any charge already paid.

08Content you post

You keep ownership of everything you post — your profile text, your tuition requirement, your photographs and your documents. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

We may edit tuition listings for clarity, formatting and safety before publishing them, and we may decline to publish a listing that does not meet our standards. We may remove any content that breaches these terms.

09Limitation of liability

The platform is provided on an 'as is' basis. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that listings are error-free, that a guardian will find a suitable tutor, or that a tutor will find work.

To the fullest extent permitted by Bangladeshi law, we are not liable for any loss arising out of the conduct of a guardian or a tutor, for any dispute over salary, for any academic result, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Where we are found liable notwithstanding this clause, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting the desk. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, or where we are required to do so by law.

Closing an account does not remove records we are required to keep, such as payment records and reports made against the account.

11Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, contact the desk first with your reference number. We investigate every complaint and aim to respond within five working days. Most disputes about a tutor, a guardian or a payment are resolved at this stage.

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that cannot be resolved between us.
